Job Description “Facilities Attendant” 

Reports to:  Maintenance Director

 Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Exhibits excellence in customer service
  • Exterior Care.  Maintaining the general appearance of all properties with the objective of creating an inviting and positive image/atmosphere for all customers and potential customers.  This may include some or all of the following but is not limited to such tasks as; trash and weed removal, sweeping, washing, steam cleaning parking lots and sidewalks, cleaning fuel pumps and car wash facilities, painting, landscaping or lawn care and snow removal.
  • Preventive Maintenance.  Upkeep of building and equipment.  May include some or all of the following but is not limited to such tasks as; lighting maintenance, painting, minor small equipment repair, limited plumbing/electrical, fuel systems checks and replacement of fuel systems components.
  • Assists the “Lead Facilities Attendant” on certain tasks and assignments as necessary.
  • Reports to and receives all job assignments from the “Lead Facilities Attendant”.
  • Identifies and immediately reports or takes action to correct potential hazards which may exist on any properties with the objective of providing a safe environment for employees and customers.
  • Works in a manner that promotes job safety at all times by taking all proper and necessary pre-cautions when using equipment, chemicals or otherwise as well as protecting employees and customers by implementing safety pre-cautions at work sites.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Completes daily “trip tickets” accounting for time and travel.  Submits to Administration office.
  • Maintains accurate and timely records in all aspects of the job.

Knowledge/Skills & Requirements: 

  • Work independently, Hours vary.
  • Uniform required:  See separate policy.
  • Be able to work in all types of weather and be able to tolerate a variety of conditions that are potentially faced on the job.
  • Be able to properly lift and move heavy objects, bending, climbing, etc.
  • Be able to read and understand detailed instruction manuals and schematics for equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record, and be insurable.

Duties

Each shift at Oasis Stop ‘N Go is busy and involves many tasks. The typical shift of an Oasis Stop ‘N Go team member may include any or all of the following jobs:

  • Provide fast, efficient, friendly customer service
  • Brew coffee, clean condiment stations
  • Input grocery order
  • Read daily store e-mail
  • Complete inventory counts
  • Sweep the parking lot
  • Wipe down gas pumps
  • Check in vendors
  • Restock cooler doors, freezers
  • Sweep and mop floor
  • Prepare and stock fast food items
  • Clean and stock fountain drink dispenser
  • Clean rest rooms
  • Attend store team meetings
  • Empty trash containers
  • Move and build pop displays
  • Pick up outside trash
  • Provide fast, efficient, friendly customer service
